Amanda's career began in the City of Escondido, where she worked as an engineering administrative assistant and environmental compliance inspector. She then went on to work in various roles in wastewater treatment. Amanda's professional experience includes roles at Texas State Guard, FEMA, and UT Southwestern Medical Center, where she worked as a Wastewater SME Officer, Emergency Management Specialist, and Chemical Safety Specialist. In her current role as a Hospital Safety Specialist at Children's Health, Amanda is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of patients, staff, and visitors.

Amanda's expertise lies in safety of healthcare operations and environmental compliance, emergency management, and hazardous materials. She is skilled in developing and implementing effective safety protocols and procedures that ensure compliance with local and federal regulations. Amanda is also passionate about sharing her knowledge and experience with others and has delivered engaging presentations and talks on safety and environmental compliance.
