Jacqueline Jarrell

Jackie Jarrell, P.E., is a Deputy Director with Charlotte Water and a Past President of the Water Environment Federation (WEF), an international professional water organization with more than 35,000 members. Her current focus includes field operations and customers service areas. Previously, Jackie was the Wastewater Operations Chief for Charlotte Water, responsible for overall wastewater operations with total permitted capacity of 123 million gallons per day. An active member of the North Carolina Water Environment Member Association, Jackie also served as the Member Association chair in 2013. In 2011, she travelled to Bolivia with Water for People. Jackie is a current Board member and past chair of the North Carolina Water Quality Association, a regulatory advocacy organization of utilities in North Carolina.

Jackie is a registered professional engineer in the state of North Carolina and holds a Biological Wastewater Grade II OIT (Operator in Training). She received a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte. Jackie is a WEF Fellow, member of the NC 5S, is a recipient of the Arthur Sidney Bedell Award, and along with her colleagues, was awarded the WEF Gascoigne Wastewater Treatment Plant Operational Improvement Medal. Jackie and her family reside in Charlotte.
